Once upon a time, a red brick house on Windrush Drive sat beneath tall Kirkwood trees with a fine front porch and a great deal on its mind. The rooms met at last, and they have been talking ever since. The hardwood floors had waited patiently, and they were refinished to a warm glow. New crown molding settled along the ceilings like a well tailored collar. In the kitchen, RSI drew a layout where everything has its place. New cabinetry, countertops, a tile backsplash and premium appliances moved in together. The island became the spot where morning coffee, homework and Saturday plans gather, with glass pendants keeping watch from above. The living room found its center at a new fireplace hearth. Recessed lighting came to both the living and family rooms, so evenings stay bright for as long as anyone likes. Down the hall, the primary suite received a rebuilt bath with a frameless glass shower and a converted closet. A new hall bath arrived in tile with a fresh vanity, and it has been on its best behavior since. Proctor Drapery dressed every window in custom treatments, and the morning light seems to approve. Outside, a single level composite deck welcomes dinner under the trees. A new garage door greets the street, and LP SmartSide siding now lines the front porch. The back yard grew a new lawn with a clever habit: it sends the rain away from the house. Today, 635 Windrush Drive is open, light and completely at ease.
